Dynapac Unveils New Tandem Compaction Rollers for the Construction Industry

Renowned Swedish manufacturer Dynapac has launched its newest series of compactors in the 6, 7, and 10-tonne classes. The CC2200 VI to CC3800 VI models, showcased at the recent Con-Expo in Las Vegas, have already gained traction within the roller compactor rental market, thanks to numerous enhancements incorporated into these advanced machines.

A statement from Dynapac highlights that the CC2200 VI sets a fresh standard in the industry, featuring upgraded capabilities that boost paving outcomes, improve operational efficiency, and enhance operator comfort. The new compactor series includes both combination models and split-drum configurations, with drum widths ranging from 1,500 to 1,680 millimetres.

The rollers feature an operating mass of 7,620 kilograms with ROPS (Roll-Over Protective Structure). Both the front and rear drums are engineered with equal static linear loads of 361 PSI, translating to approximately 25 kilograms per square centimetre. These models boast a 42% gradeability and can achieve speeds of up to 12 km/h. Packed with high-tech features, these compactors are designed to maximise compaction efficiency and performance. One standout feature is the 7-inch colour touch display that gives operators seamless access to essential controls.

The CC2200 VI series comes equipped with Dynapac’s seismic technology, which identifies the optimal vibration frequency for various types of compacted materials. This system continuously monitors changes in the target material and automatically adjusts the frequency in response, reducing the number of passes needed and thereby saving both time and fuel, leading to lower operational costs.

Dynapac’s seismic system adapts to the most effective vibration frequency as conditions change, optimising the compaction process. Additionally, operators can choose the DynaLyzer compaction control and documentation system as an optional feature. This system logs asphalt temperatures and the number of passes made, supporting quality assurance and compaction effectiveness.

Safety has also been a key focus in these new models. Each compactor in the series is fitted with a 360-degree camera that offers unobstructed visibility around the machine and a pedestrian detection system to enhance site safety. The built-in rollover protection system ensures that operators remain safe at all times.

Engine Highlights

The new Dynapac compactors are powered by Tier-4 Final and EU Stage-V compliant engines that come with standard features like an auto-idle function. The default ECO-Mode setting can reduce fuel usage by up to 20%, as verified by field tests. These machines utilise biodegradable hydraulic fluid and come with a variety of optional attachments, such as chip spreaders and edge pressers.

Designed for use in urban environments, these engines are characterised by low emissions and minimal noise and vibration levels, aligning with sustainability and environmental standards.
